Charlie Bettigole, director of the GIS Center for Interdisciplinary Research, Kris Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, and alumni Zoe Pagliaro '20, Shay Kolodney '21, Sylvana Szuhay '22, Eli Hersh '20, and Miles Chandler '20, "Optimizing Sampling Strategies for Near-Surface Soil Carbon Inventory: One Size Doesn鈥檛 Fit All" in Soil Systems.  The study analyzes soil carbon data collected on four farms in the eastern United States and suggests new approaches for soil sampling in agricultural landscapes. 国产探花 students were involved in all stages of the project, from data collection to coding and data analysis. 

Barbara Garbin, teaching professor of Italian, was invited as virtual guest lecturer in the course Setting the World Ablaze: Italian Women鈥檚 Writing from St. Catherine to Elena Ferrante at Catholic University. She presented on Futurist writer 鈥淩osa 搁辞蝉脿: A woman with three souls.鈥
